Who's Irod was slow to begin. Kate's Boy was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Good Boloney and Who's Irod collided soon after the start. Isabella Girl and Superior Shane collided soon after the start, checking Superior Shane. Good Boloney checked off Who's Irod on the first turn. Who's Irod galloped on the heels of Kate's Boy on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Tiny Com was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left and right metatarsals. No stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Heinrich, the handler of Brandeen Plugger regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Brandeen Plugger last raced on 16 th December, 2015. Ms. Heinrich stated that Brandeen Plugger is returning to racing from a toe injury.

Mr. Moonlight was slow to begin. Dyna Willem and Eppy Bale collided soon after the start. Dyna Willem and Brandeen Plugger collided approaching the first turn. Bekim Fire and Eppy Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Bekim Fire. Rover and Onya Anna collided on the first turn, checking Rover. Brandeen Plugger and Lektra Mick collided in the home straight, and again approaching the winning post, checking Lektra Mick.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Heineken Boy and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.06PM due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. R. Matthyssen was fined the sum of $100.

Nirranda Ripper, With A Whisper and Moreira Magic collided soon after the start, checking Nirranda Ripper. Destini Baritone and Magic Super collided soon after the start, checking Magic Super. Magic Super contacted the running rail approaching the first turn and lost ground as a result. With A Whisper checked off Helma Bale on the first turn, checking Creative Hit. Magic Super checked off Creative Hit approaching the home turn. Destini Baritone and Nirranda Ripper collided in the home straight, checking Destini Baritone. 

Magic Super was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left thigh, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Supreme Deal went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Jazaan's Boy was slow to begin. Not Broken checked off Draper Bale on the first turn. Stewards spoke to Mr Delaroche, the handler of It's A Blast regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  It's A Blast last raced on 3rd December 2015. Mr Delaroche stated that It's A Blast is returning to racing from a right tricep and right bicep injury.

What's Up Trumps, Kirk Bale and Eily West collided soon after the start, checking Kirk Bale. One For Liam, Dyna Lemmy and Fatboy Norm collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. One For Liam and What's Up Trumps collided approaching the first turn, checking One For Liam. Saywah Tonayo, Fatboy Norm and Kirk Bale collided on the first turn, checking Fatboy Norm and Kirk Bale. Beljay Fantasy was a late scratching at  6:37pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Select Sanz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramp and an injury to the right thigh, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Scott, the handler of the greyhound Select Sanz. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
