Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Claretown Sam upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Claretown Sam and Before My Time were slow to begin. Running Home, Black Edge, Mr. Alouette and Monaleen Deejay collided soon after the start checking Running Home, Black Edge and Mr. Alouette. Claretown Sam checked off Running Home approaching the first turn. Running Home and Mr. Alouette collided approaching the first turn checking Mr. Alouette and Claretown Sam; Mr. Alouette stumbled and lost ground as a result. Supatak checked off Clovalley Mauri on the first turn. Clovalley Mauri checked off Before My Time on the first turn. Before My Time checked off Clovalley Mauri approaching the home turn. Clovalley Mauri and Before My Time collided several times in the home straight.
Mr. Alouette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
