Swisher and Bob On were quick to begin. Mega Jewels and Blue Label collided soon after the start checking Blue Label. Monterra and Mega Jewels collided soon after the start checking Monterra. Monterra checked off Tally Ho Tink approaching the first turn; Monterra stumbled and lost ground as a result. Hotlips Matilda checked off Monterra on the first turn. Hotlips Matilda and Mega Jewels raced wide in the home straight.
