Jadu and Dusty Roy collided soon after the start, checking Jadu. Midnight Zombie and Kingston Earl collided soon after the start, checking Midnight Zombie. Turbo Chief and Dusty Roy collided approaching the first turn, checking Dusty Roy. Kingston Earl and Midnight Zombie collided approaching the first turn, checking Midnight Zombie. Charlie Three and Turbo Chief collided approaching the first turn, checking Dusty Roy. Druid Bale, Charlie Three and Turbo Chief collided on the first turn, checking Charlie Three and Turbo Chief. Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Bahen, the trainer of the greyhound Midnight Zombie regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Midnight Zombie was vetted and re-vetted following event 5. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shoulder, right fibula and left triangle, a ten day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Midnight Zombie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Bahen pleaded guilty to the charge, Midnight Zombie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
