Chief Hiawatha, Miss Camelot and Nudge Nudge collided approaching the first turn, checking Miss Camelot and Nudge Nudge. Happy Hippy and Chief Hiawatha collided approaching the first turn, checking Chief Hiawatha and Nudge Nudge. Smashing Evie checked off Fiery Melody on the first turn. King Mischief and Miss Camelot collided on the first turn, checking Miss Camelot. Happy Hippy and King Mischief collided entering the home straight, checking King Mischief. Smashing Evie raced wide entering the home straight. Maeby Allen and Happy Hippy collided approaching the winning post. 

Nudge Nudge was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a three day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. I. Hopper, the trainer of They Watch regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  They Watch last raced on the 18/12/15. Mr. Hopper stated that the greyhound was returning to race following a right shoulder injury. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. L Smith, the representative of Nova Bell regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Nove Bell last raced on the 24/2/16. Ms. Smith stated that the greyhound was returning to race following an injury to the right hind toe. 

A pre-race sample was taken from They Watch. 

Rick Grimes was slow to begin. Aggi Den, Nobu and Nova Bell collided soon after the start, checking Nobu and Nova Bell. Jumbo Jack and They Watch collided approaching the first turn, checking Jumbo Jack. Princess Jasmine and Aggi Den collided on the first turn, severely checking Moreira Magic, Aggi Den and Rick Grimes; causing Princess Jasmine and Nova Bell to fall as a result. Moreira Magic, Aggi Den and Rick Grimes lost ground on the first turn. Aggi Den and Princess Jasmine raced wide in the home straight. 

Princess Jasmine was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shoulder and left triangle, a three day stand down period was imposed. 

Aggi Den was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right metatarsal sprain, a seven day stand down period was imposed. 

Nova Bell was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Rick Grimes was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apprent injury found. 

Jadu and Dusty Roy collided soon after the start, checking Jadu. Midnight Zombie and Kingston Earl collided soon after the start, checking Midnight Zombie. Turbo Chief and Dusty Roy collided approaching the first turn, checking Dusty Roy. Kingston Earl and Midnight Zombie collided approaching the first turn, checking Midnight Zombie. Charlie Three and Turbo Chief collided approaching the first turn, checking Dusty Roy. Druid Bale, Charlie Three and Turbo Chief collided on the first turn, checking Charlie Three and Turbo Chief. Kingston Earl, Turbo Chief and Dusty Roy collided on the first turn, checking Kingston Earl and severely checking Turbo Chief. Kingston Earl checked off Jadu approaching the home turn. Midnight Zombie checked off Charlie Three on the home turn. Midnight Zombie lost ground and subsequently pulled up in the home straight. Kingston Earl and Dusty Roy collided in the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Bahen, the trainer of the greyhound Midnight Zombie regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Midnight Zombie was vetted and re-vetted following event 5.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shoulder, right fibula and left triangle, a ten day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Midnight Zombie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Bahen pleaded guilty to the charge, Midnight Zombie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Just Smile, Zall Good and Just Be Patient were slow to begin. Cosmic Goldie and Ella's Crusing collided approaching the first turn, checking Ella's Cruising. Zall Good and Just Be Patient colided approaching the first turn, checking Just Be Patient. Sweet Barbados and Just Be Patient collided on the first turn, checking Just Be Patient. Just Be Patient, Zall Good, Just Smile and Ella's Cruising collided on the first turn, checking Zall Good, Just Smile and Ella's Cruising. Cosmic Goldie, Sweet Barbados and Mabuti Girl collided on the home turn, checking Sweet Barbados and Mabuti Girl. Ella's Cruising and Just Smile collided entering the home straight, checking Just Smile.

Kilkee Flex was slow to begin. Dark Obsession went up with the lids at box rise and very slow to begin (6 lengths). Allen Membo and Kilkee Flex collided soon after the start, checking Kilkee Flex. Bobby's Baby and Allen Membo collided on the first turn. Bobby's Baby and Allen Membo collided on the second turn. Bobby's Baby raced wide on the third turn, checking Allen Membo. Kilkee Flex and Diva's Shadow collided in back straight, checking Diva's Shadow. Sir Charlton and Kilkee Flex collided approaching the winning post.

Gassy's Pride, Lil Tay and Maximum Maddy collided approaching the first turn, checking Lil Tay and Maximum Maddy. Gassy's Pride checked off Love Shak approaching the home turn. Ginger Speed checked off Gassy's Pride approaching the home turn. Bombora Flash and Lil Tay raced wide in the home straight. 

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Bide Time engaged in this event on the 9/5/16 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Next Grange upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Sutton Club and Jimmy Who were slow to begin. Harry Steiger and Sutton Club collided soon after the start. Harry Steiger and Roll 'Em Missy collided approaching the first turn. Sutton Club checked off Roll 'Em Missy on the first turn. Jimmy Who checked off Chief Brit on the first turn. Sillybilly Bling and Needs Wings collided entering the home straight. Harry Steiger and Needs Wings collided in the home straight. Harry Steiger and Sillybilly Bling collided approaching the winning post.

Senor Laurie was slow to begin. Aston Ryder checked off Jailor Bale soon after the start. Minute River checked of Noonbarra Joe approaching the first turn. Senor Laurie galloped on the heels of Minute River on the first turn, checking Senor Laurie, Minute River and Aston Ryder. Cudgee Destroyer and Noonbarra Joe collided approaching the home turn, checking Cudgee Destroyer, Noonburra Joe and Minute River, Minute River faltered and lost gound as a result. Senor Laurie raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Aston Ryder. Cudgee Destroyer checked off Noonbarra Joe approaching the home turn. Yeah Whatever and Senor Laurie raced wide in the home straight. 

Minute River was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a sixty day stand down period was imposed.

Uncool Albert was quick to begin. She's Fullboar was slow to begin. Velobell, Nangar Fox and She's Vivacious collided approaching the first turn, checking Nangar Fox. She's Vivacious, She's Fullboar and Velobell collided on the first turn, checking She's Vivacious. Velobell checked off Dyna Yavin on the home turn. She's Vivacious raced wide on the home turn. 

A sample was taken from Uncool Albert - the winner of the event. 

Velobell was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Lady Tron. 

Thanks Cheryl and Hop On Black was slow to begin. Dom Daisy, Where's Savannah, Lady Tron, Marodo and Nine Tenths collideed approaching the first turn, severely checking Where's Savannah, Lady Tron and Sorceress Bale. Dom Daisy, Marodo and Nine Tenths collided on the first turn, checking Marodo and Nine Tenths. Nine Tenths clipped the heels of Marodo approaching the home turn, causing Nine Tenths and Thanks Cheryl to fall as a result. Where's Savannah and Lady Tron collided aproaching the winning post.

Where's Savannah was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Marodo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind leg, a ten day stand down period was imposed. 

Nine Tenths was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
