Steward's Report

A pre race sample was taken from Danger Bale. 

Winterstein was quick to begin. Daintree Rhumba, Connie Bale and Boom Clap were slow to begin. Danger Bale checked off Usain Gilbert soon after the start. Lektra Burst, Connie Bale and Boom Clap collided approaching the first turn, checking Connie Bale and Boom Clap. Daintree Rhumba checked off Lektra Burst on the first turn. Connie Bale galloped on the heels of Lektra Burst on the first turn, checking both greyhounds and causing Connie Bale to stumble. Lektra Burst and Danger Bale collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Daintree Rhumba galloped on the heels of Boom Clap on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Lektra Burst checked off Danger Bale on the home turn, and raced wide as a result. 

Boom Clap was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured tail, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
