Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Empress Rose.
Lady Bullseye, Sprint Tee, Empress Rose and Wonder Doug were quick to begin. Deflection and Lady Ceecee were slow to begin. Evelyn checked off the heels of Lady Bullseye soon after the start. Sprint Tee, Empress Rose and Wonder Doug collided on the first turn, checking Empress Rose. Deflection and Lady Ceecee collided on the first turn, checking Lady Ceecee. Light The Track galloped on the heels of Evelyn on the first turn. Lady Bullseye eased on the second turn. Lady Bullseye and Sprint Tee collided on the second turn. Wonder Doug checked off Sprint Tee and collided with Lady Bullseye on the home turn. Lady Ceecee checked off Sprint Tee on the home turn.
A sample was taken from Light The Track - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Hellmuth, the representative of the greyhound Lady Bullseye regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn. Lady Bullseye was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left foreleg and both pencil muscles, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Lady Bullseye with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Hellmuth pleaded guilty to the charge, Lady Bullseye was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
