Steward's Report
Mi Blue Day, Rippin Hayne and Trium were slow to begin. Dennis Gallon veered out on the home turn and marred Sports Knight. All About Corey veered out on the home turn, collided with Mi Blue Day and Rippin Hayne and marred Dennis Gallon.
Dennis Gallon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the back right foot, no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Turnley, the trainer of the greyhound Dennis Gallon regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dennis Gallon with marring. Mr. Turnley pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dennis Gallon was found guilty and suspended for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.
All About Corey was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pencil and right triangle muscles, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Collins, the trainer of the greyhound All About Corey regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged All About Corey with marring. Mrs. Collins pleaded not guilty to the charge, All About Corey was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
