Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms C.McColl, the handler of Spa Primrose regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Spa Primrose last raced on 1 January, 2017. Ms McColl stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.
Mahogany Stedman and Fantasy Skye collided soon after the start. Dashing Dream, Fantasy Skye and Mahogany Skye collided approaching the first turn. Cruising Suzie and Fawntastic Kate collided approaching the first turn. Spa Squirtle and Kamchatka Kid collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Kamchatka Kid. Dashing Dream, Fantasy Skye and Mahogany Stedman collided on the first turn checking Fantasy Skye and severely checking Mahogany Steadman. Cruising Suzie and Fawntastic Kate collided approaching the home turn. Kamchatka Kid and Dashing Dream collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Mahogany Stedman and Spa Primrose collided in the home straight.
Kamchatka Kid was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
