Jolimia was vetted following prior to racing and was cleared fit to race.
Jolimia was quick to begin. Castilleja and Clover lad were slow to begin. Jolimia faltered soon after the start and lost considerable ground. Liscoyle Lass and Bobby Bones collided approaching the first turn checking Bobby Bones. Nellie Shan and Vicki collided approaching the first turn, checking Vicki. Nellie Shan clipped the heels of Secret Business on the first turn checking Secret Business. Vicki and Liscoyle Lass collided approaching the home turn checking Vicki. Castilleja, Secret Business and Nellie Shan collided approaching the home turn checking Secret Business and Nellie Shan. Secret Business and Nellie Shan collided on the home turn and again several times in the home straight.
Clover Lad was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
