Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Craig Solkhon, the kennel representative of Podium Sensation, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Podium Sensation last raced on 17th March 2017. Mr Solkhon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a fractured toe.
Mr Michael Davidson was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Skidlisha, pursuant to GAR 33.
A pre-race sample was taken from Skidlisha.
Weiss Allen was quick to begin. Stormy Seas was slow to begin. Stormy Seas and Chesca collided soon after the start. Chesca and Zenstar collided soon after the start. Chesca galloped on the heels of Riverina Miss soon after the start, severely checking Riverina Miss which lost ground as a result. Skidlisha crossed to the outside and raced wide on the home turn, and lost ground as a result.
Skidlisha was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
