Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Run Back Gate Operator Mrs. E. Delios did not act in any capacity within the kennels for this event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Tina.
Stilton Johnny, Come To Play, Elram Girl and Zipping Tina collided soon after the start. Ellen's Stardust and Elram Girl collided approaching the first turn severley checking Elram Girl. Penny Lane Keats and Supa Shalala collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Penny Lane Keats clipped the heels of Miss Taryn approaching the home turn. Come To Play and Ellen's Stardust collided approaching the home turn. Supa Shalala eased on the home turn checking Come To Play and Ellen's Stardust. Penny Lane Keats and Come To Play collided on the home turn. Come To Play and Elram Girl collided entering the home straight. Supa Shalala and Miss Taryn collided entering the home straight checking Supa Shalala.
Supa Shalala was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Kelly the trainer of the greyhound Supa Shalala regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Supa Shalala with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Kelly pleaded not guilty to the charge, Supa Shalala was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
