Steward's Report

Gothamburg was quick to begin. Rapanui Revival was slow to begin. Happy Hamish and Harlem Shake collided soon after the start, checking Happy Hamish and Rapanui Revival. Maximum Babe, Vanishka, Harlem Shake and Sports Knight collided approaching the first turn, checking Sports Knight. Rapanui Revival checked off Happy Hamish on the first turn and raced wide. Rapanui Revival checked off Sports Knight approaching the second turn and raced wide. Happy Hamish checked off Vanishka approaching the second turn. Happy Hamish and Sport Knight collided on the third turn, checking Sports Knight. Gothamburg and Harlem Shake collided on the home turn. Rapanui Revival, Harlem Shake and Maximum Babe collided entering the home straight; Harlem Shake became unbalanced as a result. Harlem Shake and Maximum Babe collided approaching the winning post. Rapanui Revival and Sports Knight collided approaching the winning post. Gothamburg tired over the concluding stages of the event. 

Harlem Shake was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to both deltoid muscles, a five day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. J. Fowler, the trainer of Harlem Shake regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.
