Steward's Report

Mr Alan Marum, trainer of Kalimna Express, declared a new weight of 29.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kalimna Express last raced at 31.1kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Gotta Cheer Up.

Woodleigh Bond and Kalimna Express collided soon after the start.

Challis Ridge crossed to the inside soon after the start, colliding with Clickin' Gears, Gotta Cheer Up, Woodleigh Bond, Kalimna Express and Cullquin Alexis, checking Cullquin Alexis as a result. Kalimna Express and Challis Ridge collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark. Woodleigh Bond and Challis Ridge collided several times from the 250m mark to the 150m mark. Challis Ridge checked off Cullquin Alexis approaching the winning post.

Woodleigh Bond was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event nine, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left stopper. A three-day stand down period was imposed.

Kalimna Express was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr Gregory Graham, the trainer of Woodleigh Bond, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
