Whipstick Chloe and Bald Wal collided soon after the start. Urana Vee Eight and Belisarius crossed to the outside soon after the start and raced wide for the remainder of the event. King Of Merrimu and Whipstick Chloe collided at the 300m mark. King Of Merrimu checked off the heels of Bald Wal at the 150m mark.
