Baron's Breeze and Our Rocket were slow to begin.  Bruree Belle crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Dodger's Beauty and severely checking Silent Sandy and Tilley's Pie.  Our Rocket galloped on the heels of Silent Sandy at the 250m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Tilley's Pie failed to pursue the lure with due commitment at the 150m mark.  Wishing Angel crossed to the outside at the 100m mark.  Wishing Angel eased at the 50m mark.

Silent Sandy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fratured left hind toe, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to D Churchill, the trainer of the greyhound Tilley's Pie regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark. Tilley's Pie was vetted and re-vetted following race 4.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Tilley's Pie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  D Churchill pleaded guilty to the charge, Tilley's Pie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to F Tasca, the trainer of the greyhound Wishing Angel regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark.  Wishing Angel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right hind webbing.  No stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Wishing Angel with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  F Tasca pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wishing Angel was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
