Baron's Breeze and Our Rocket were slow to begin.  Bruree Belle crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Dodger's Beauty and severely checking Silent Sandy and Tilley's Pie.  Our Rocket galloped on the heels of Silent Sandy at the 250m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Tilley's Pie failed to pursue the lure with due commitment at the 150m mark.  Wishing Angel crossed to the outside at the 100m mark.  Wishing Angel eased at the 50m mark.

Silent Sandy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fratured left hind toe, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to D Churchill, the trainer of the greyhound Tilley's Pie regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark. Tilley's Pie was vetted and re-vetted following race 4.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Tilley's Pie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  D Churchill pleaded guilty to the charge, Tilley's Pie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to F Tasca, the trainer of the greyhound Wishing Angel regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark.  Wishing Angel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right hind webbing.  No stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Wishing Angel with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  F Tasca pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wishing Angel was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Laurie Galore was slow to begin.  Laurie Galore and Zara's Pride collided soon after the start.  Viewing and Zara's Pride collided at the 300m mark.  Beer On Tap and Gotta Cheer Up collided at the 250m mark.  Viewing checked off Clickin' Gears approaching the 200m mark.  Laurie Galore and Zara's Pride collided at the 150m mark.  Beer On Tap and Gotta Cheer Up collided at the 150m mark.

 T. Cortese, representative of Pappa Gallo declared a new weight of 31.8 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Pappa Gallo last raced at 33.0.

 T. Cortese, trainer of My Baby Porscha declared a new weight of 24.9 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). My Baby Porscha last raced at 26.7.

A pre race sample was taken from Bombora Flash.

Pappa Gallo, Bombora Flash and Star's Big Boy were slow to begin.  Bombora Flash crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Star's Big Boy, severely checking Star's Big Boy which lost ground as a result.  Pappa Gallo galloped on the heels of My Baby Porscha at the 250m mark and crossed to the outside, checking My Baby Porscha.

My Baby Porscha was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Star's Big Boy was vetted and re-vetted following event 12.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured left and right monkey muscles and right hip, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Rose Of Dyanna was slow to begin.  Paper Cuts and Ninetymile Ace collided soon after the start.  Paper Cuts crossed to the outside at the 250m mark, checking Ninetymile Ace.  Another Hope crossed in at the 200m mark, checking Lucky's Spirit.  Paper Cuts galloped on the heels of Donkey Tron at the 50m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Ninetymile Ace checked off Lucky's Spirit approaching the winning post.

Tooka Half was a late scratching at 9:57am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Sharkies Arrow.

Dozer Lad and Mallard collided soon after the start.  Assemble Nitro, Veetee Mist and Sharkies Arrow collided at the 300m mark.  Sharkies Arrow checked off Miss Pepperoni at the 250m mark, checking Assemble Nitro and Little Tacka.  Dozer Lad, Mallard and Veetee Mist collided approaching the 200m mark.

Rostered lure driver H. Johnson was unavailable for this meeting and was replaced by M. Stevens.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Pee Jay Ripper trialled over the 300m from box 8, weight 28.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.16, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 1/2 lengths. Pee Jay Ripper was cleared.
