Steward's Report
Ms M.Shaw handler of Jockey Bale declared a new weight of 31.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jockey Bale last raced at 32.4kg.
Rubba Wilson was quick to begin. Fair Ride stumbled at box rise and lost ground as a result. Storm Of All and Jockey Bale collided soon after the start. All Inn Chumlee and Jessio Fozzio collided approaching the first turn. All Inn Chumlee and Jockey Bale collided approaching the first turn. Storm Of All and Eden's Belle collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Fair Ride galloped on the heels of Jessio Fozzio on the first turn checking Fair Ride. Storm Of All checked off Eden's Belle approaching the home turn. All Inn Chumlee and Grooven Chris collided on the home turn. Storm Of All and Grooven Chris collided entering the home straight. Rubba Wilson and Eden's Belle collided in the home straight. Eden's Belle marred Rubba Wilson in the home straight and again approaching the winning post. Jockey Bale, All Inn Chumlee, Eden's Belle and Rubba Wilson collided approaching the winning post.
Eden's Belle was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Caulfield, the trainer of the greyhound Eden's Belle regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Eden's Belle with marring. Mr. Caulfield pleaded guilty to the charge, Eden's Belle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
