Just Banji was slow to begin. Shazza's Gift and Bold Spirit collided soon after the start. Westmead Maggie, Missy Marlus, Shazza's Gift, Master Brett, Bold Spirit and Stetson Bart collided approaching the first turn checking Bold Spirit and severely checking Stetson Bart which contacted the running rail. Westmead Maggie, Shazza's Gift and Master Brett collided on the first turn. Just Banji and Missy Marlus collided on the first turn checking Right Off Spot. Shazza's Gift checked off Westmead Maggie on the home turn severely checking Master Brett and Shazza's Gift. Master Brett, Shazza's Gift and Bold Spirit collided in the home straight.
