Avatar Tessy was slow to begin. Hully Gully, Hiazakyte and One Step Ahead collided soon after the start checking Hiazakyte. Hiazakyte, Mallee Spring and Robert Victor collided approaching the first turn severely checking Robert Victor which lost ground as a result. All Inn Amber and Honestly Bob collided approaching the first turn checking All Inn Amber. Honestly Bob, Mallee Spring and Hully Gully collided on the first turn checking Hully Gully and severely checking Hiazakyte. Robert Victor galloped on the heels of Hully Gully approaching the home turn severely checking Hully Gully which fell as a result.
Hully Gully was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.
