Ziggy Punter was slow to begin. Quick Collision and Handsome Cosmo collided soon after the start. Betty La Fae and Quick Collision collided approaching the first turn checking Darra Ash and Handsome Cosmo. Quick Collision and Betty La Fae collided on the first turn. Betty La Fae and Darra Ash approaching the home turn. Barnie's Blaster and Quick Collision collided in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Sunset Oasis trialled over the 450mt from box 1, weight 28.8kg, the greyhound was placed 1st  in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.92, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.5L. Sunset Oasis was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A)(Blinkers) - Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Caulfield, the trainer of Blue And Cool regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Blue And Cool last raced on 1st July 2016. Mr. Caulfield stated that the greyhound was returning from being on season and a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Blue And Cool trialled over the 425mt from box 3, weight 24.7kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5L. Blue And Cool was Cleared to run in Blinkers.
