Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Nicoll, the trainer of Second Dan regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Second Dan last raced on 15 December 2016. Mr Nicoll stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a left wrist injury.
Reality Bomber and Striker Shearer collided soon after the start. Cambo's Cindy and Full Of Charm collided soon after the start checking Full Of Charm. Striker Shearer and Frisco Liz collided approaching the first turn. Reality Bomber, Striker Shearer and Frisco Liz collided on the first turn checking Striker Reality, Frisco Liz and Second Dan. Cambo's Cindy galloped on the heels of Frisco Liz approaching the home turn checking Cambo's Cindy. Frisco Liz and Full Of Charm collided approaching the home turn. Second Dan faltered approaching the home turn. Cambo's Cindy stumbled on the home turn. Striker Shearer, Full Of Charm and Dr. Condor collided entering the home straight. Reality Bomber and Dr. Watson collided approaching the winning post.
Second Dan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
