Chan Bale was a late scratching at 7:04pm on 23rd April 2017 due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Chuck McIvor was slow to begin. Big Bold Boomer, Mummy's Ok, Tuscan Flex and Destini Laredo collided on the first turn severely checking Mummy's Ok. Big Bold Boomer, Tuscan Flex and Destini Laredo collided in the back straight checking Chuck McIvor. Big Bold Boomer checked off Tuscan Flex in the back straight. Chuck McIvor and Destini Laredo collided approaching the second turn.
Mummy's Ok was vetted folliowing the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left thigh. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was unable to obtained from Chuck McIvor, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
