Stewards spoke to Mr G Kantzidis, the trainer of Too Fly Man, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Too Fly Man last raced on 21 December 2016 and is returning after suffering soreness to both hocks.

Too Fly Man was vetted and after being re-vetted following event ten it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards issued a warning to Mr G Kantzidis, the trainer of Too Fly Man, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn.

Magic Reindeer, Suspicious Lee and Pingu were quick to begin.  Suspicious Lee, Red Tone and Pingu collided approaching the first turn, checking all three greyhounds.  Heineken Boy checked off Red Tone on the first turn and lost ground.  Suspicious Lee and Pingu collided on the first turn.

Coopnarcha, Mistel Allen and Allen Fable were slow to begin.  Coopnarcha checked off Show Bag Carter soon after the start.  Allen Fable faltered approaching the first turn and pulled up.  Lady Tron and Altesse collided on the first turn, checking Lady Tron.  Altesse raced wide entering the home straight.

Allen Fable was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr K Kubik, the trainer of Domestic Girl, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Domestic Girl last raced on 24 August 2016.  Mr Kubik stated that Domestic Girl was returning from being seasonal.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Domestic Girl trialled over the 400m from box one, weight 27.8 kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:68, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 10.5 lengths.  Domestic Girl was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Luck's Run Out trialled over the 400m from box two, weight 31.1 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:68, the greyhound won by a margin of a neck.  Luck's Run Out was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Allen Kappa trialled over the 400m from box eight, weight 36.9 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:68, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of a neck.  Allen Kappa was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Steel The Best trialled over the 460m from box one, weight 27.1 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 26:02, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.5 lengths.  Steel The Best was Cleared.
