Paddles Anderson and Akina Akeira collided on the first turn checking Akina Akeira. Paddles Anderson and Dewana Babe collided on the second turn. Paddles Anderson contacted the running rail entering the front straight. Tribal Faith raced wide in the back straight. Bells Are Ringin and Paddles Anderson collided approaching the fifth turn. Dewana Babe was checked off Dig Deep Bert on the fifth turn. Dig Deep Bert was checked off Dewana Babe entering the home straight and collided with Paddles Anderson.
Dig Deep Bert was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
