Stately Kay and Aston Sloan were quick to begin.  Dr. Shiki, Lone Gun and Cosmic Medusa were slow to begin.  Waterfront was checked off Aston Sloan approaching the first turn.  Lone Gun was checked off Doogie Boy on the first turn.  Stately Kay and Aston Sloan collided entering the back straight.  Aston Sloan contacted the running rail in the back straight.  Lone Gun and Cosmic Medusa collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Doogie Boy was checked off Cosmic Medusa approaching the home turn.  Lone Gun and Cosmic Medusa collided on the home turn checking Cosmic Medusa.

Mr. M. Clohesy the trainer of Hello Ay Jay declared a new weight of 29.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Hello Ay Jay last raced at 31.0kg.

Jai Alai and Rylee's Rookie were quick to begin.  Zelemar Zonk, Harsh Miles and Sun Choice collided soon after the start checking Harsh Miles and Sun Choice.  Mick Mow and Hello Ay Jay collided soon after the start checking Hello Ay Jay.  Mick Mow and Project Boy collided on the first turn.  Harsh Miles and Sun Choice collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Rylee's Rookie and Mick Mow collided approaching the second turn.  Harsh Miles crossed to the outside in the home straight.  Sun Choice crossed to the rail in the home straight.

Paddles Anderson and Akina Akeira collided on the first turn checking Akina Akeira.  Paddles Anderson and Dewana Babe collided on the second turn.  Paddles Anderson contacted the running rail entering the front straight.  Tribal Faith raced wide in the back straight.  Bells Are Ringin and Paddles Anderson collided approaching the fifth turn.  Dewana Babe was checked off Dig Deep Bert on the fifth turn.  Dig Deep Bert was checked off Dewana Babe entering the home straight and collided with Paddles Anderson.

Dig Deep Bert was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Andrej's and Marciarno Miss were quick to begin.  Peggy Sable, Flywheel Alfie, Sir Bridgborn and Call Me Tickets were slow to begin.  Andrej's crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Cosmic Missile, Louie Neveelk and Marciarno Miss.  Cosmic Missile, Sir Bridgborn and Louie Neveelk collided entering the front straight checking Cosmic Missile, Louie Neveelk and Call Me Tickets, Sir Bridgborn fell as a result.  Andrej's and Marciarno Miss collided on the second turn.  Cosmic Missile and Call Me Tickets collided on the second turn.  Cosmic Missile raced wide approaching the third turn checking Call Me Tickets and Louie Neveelk.  Louie Neveelk and Cosmic Missile collided on the fourth turn.  Call Me Tickets, Cosmic Missile and Louie Neveelk collided on the home turn.  Call Me Tickets and Cosmic Missile collided approaching the winning post checking Call Me Tickets.

Stewards noted the muzzle of Call Me Tickets became wedged in the greyhound's teeth approaching the winning post.

Call Me Tickets was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a pucture wound to the webbing on the left hind foot and an abrasion to the right hind toe, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mrs. L. Russell the representative of Call Me Tickets regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Kleeven the representative regarding the direction that the greyhound Louie Neveelk be be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Seven Gallons was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  Willowvale Wings and Kiss My Fuji were slow to begin and collided approaching the first turn.  Magic Rama and Delta Daisy collided on the first turn.  Just Gus and Show Dawn collided on the first turn severely checking Show Dawn and Machiko.  Willowvale Wings and Kiss My Fuji collided on the second turn checking Kiss My Fuji.

Astromatic and Black Pontiac were slow to begin.  Senor Gold and Astromatic collided soon after the start.  Phil's In Luck crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Sandy Monelli, Zipline Marjen and Senor Gold.  Maverick Dusty and Sandy Monelli collided approaching the first turn.  Zipline Marjen contacted the running rail approaching the first turn.  Maverick Dusty was checked off Sandy Monelli on the first turn and raced wide severely checking Astromatic, Zipline Marjen and Maverick Dusty.  Phil's In Luck and Black Pontiac collided entering the home straight.  Black Pontiac and Hit Legs collided approaching the winning post.

Zipline Marjen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left shin, no stand down period was imposed.
