Star's Big Boy was slow to begin. Nero Rose, Elram Girl and Feeling Lucky collided soon after the start. Feeling Lucky and Star's Big Boy collided approaching the first turn checking Star's Big Boy. Locomotion, Velvet Acorn, Nero Rose, Elram Girl, Dodge The Speed and Miss Fox collided on the first turn checking Miss Fox and Dodge The Speed, Nero Rose, Elram Girl, Feeling Lucky and Velvet Acorn fell as a result. Star's Big Boy raced wide entering the back straight. Miss Fox and Star's Big Boy collided in the home straight.
Feeling Lucky was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
