Aeroplane Bob was quick to begin. Dance Craze and Burekup Jack were slow to begin. Dance Craze and Aeroplane Bob collided soon after the start checking Dance Craze. Silver Salute and Reichenbach collided soon after the start checking Reichenbach. Demon Bale crossed to the inside approaching the first turn checking Reichenbach, Aeroplane Bob and Destini Soprano. Reichenbach, Aeroplane Bob, Destini Soprano and Burekup Jack collided approaching the first turn checking Destini Soprano. Silver Salute, Dundee Osprey and Demon Bale collided on the first turn. Reichenbach and Aeroplane Bob collided on the first turn. Destini Soprano raced wide approaching the second turn and collided with Burekup Jack, checking both greyhounds.
