Bowon Approach contacted the running rail on the home turn. Zed's A Mystery raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Bowon Approach clipped the heels May's Melody in the home straight.

Bowon Approach was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle injury. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Gunnadoo Law was quick to begin. Moorbel Drive, My Name's Paddy and Not Mistaken were slow to begin. Gunnadoo Law crossed to the rail soon after the start. Why Not Will, Winlock Donatello and Hagrid Grange collided approaching the home turn checking Winlock Donatello. Winlock Donatello and Hagrid Grange collided approaching the home turn. Winlock Donatello and Hagrid Grange raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight. Divino, Gunnadoo Law and Why Not Will collided in the home straight.

Force Awaken's was quick to begin. Pop's A Wizard and Go Dan were slow to begin. Rosanna and Barby Cue collided on the first turn. Rapid Mission and Jamba Lad collided entering the back straight checking Rapid Mission. Jamba Lad checked off Barby Que on the second turn. Rosanna checked off Force Awakens on the home turn.

Zelemar Jim was quick to begin. Ballistic Beauty was slow to begin. Southwood Jet and Dynamite Zara collided soon after the start. Southwood Jet checked off Winlock Macy on the first turn. Zelemar Jim checked off Queen La Fipa entering the back straight. Zelemar Jim and Big Bold Boomer collided in the back straight. Dynamite Zara and Winlock Macy collided on the home turn. Winlock Macy eased entering the home straight and collided with Dynamite Zara. Winlock Macy eased again in the home straight and collided with Dynamite Zara.

Winlock Macy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Stefanos, the trainer of the greyhound Winlock Macy regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Winlock Macy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Stefanos declined to have the greyhound re-vetted and pleaded guilty to the charge, Winlock Macy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Archi Willow.

Archi Willow was quick to begin. Yorgi was slow to begin. All Inn Piper clipped the heels of Fancy Bounce on the first turn. Fancy Bounce checked off Barnie's Blaster on the first turn. All Inn Piper checked off Powerful Senor approaching the home turn. All Inn Piper and Fancy Bounce collided on the home turn.

Powerful Senor was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both wrists. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

A sample was taken from Etched In Black, winner of the event.

Alexanderia was quick to begin. Iron Side was slow to begin. Coopnarcha galloped on the heels of Alexanderia on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Glamorous Cheech and Infinite Senor collided on the first turn checking Infinite Senor. Glamorous Cheech and Infinite Senor collided on the home turn. Kamchatka Lass raced wide and stumbled on the home turn.

Kamchatka Lass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

All Inn Johnson checked off Bevvies Bullet on the first turn. Way Things Are, All Inn Johnson, Sugar Mountain, Bevvies Bullet and Travel Fair collided on the first turn checking Way Things Are and severely checking Bevvies Bullet, Sugar Mountain and My Name's Katie, Sugar Mountain fell as a result. Bevvies Bullet checked off All Inn Johnson entering the home straight.

Sugar Mountain was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triangles, both pencil muscles, both monkey muscles and the right wrist. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed. 

Stewards charged Mrs. P. Boots with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that she failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Sugar Mountain. Mrs. Boots pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $100.
