This event was rescheduled to 1:03pm as a result of the delay from the previous event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Eagleeye Norris upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Inter Sam and Eagleeye Norris were slow to begin. Inter Elesha crossed to the rail soon after the start. Eagleeye Norris and Barcia's Fate collided several times soon after the start. Inter Sam and Eagleeye Norris crossed to the outside at the 300 metre mark and raced wide through the remainder of the event. Inter Sam and Barcia's Fate collided at the 250 metre mark checking Barcia's Fate. Inter Sam, Ninetymile Lucky and Hooded Troyer collided at the 200 metre mark.
