A pre-race sample was taken from Puzzled Royal upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Jaso was slow to begin.  Magic Muzza, Tiger Rising and Cowboy Brett collided soon after the start.  Zahhak Zac and Pepper Gun collided soon after the start.  Magic Muzza and Cowboy Brett collided at the 250 metre mark and again at the 200 metre mark.  Zahhak Zac checked off Pepper Gun at the 200 metre mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Russell, the trainer of Planette regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Planette last raced on 14th October 2016 and is returning to race from a right shoulder injury.

Planette, Alouette Josie and Tristesse were slow to begin.  Barby Que crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Planette.  Tristesse crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Planette.  Fear Valley and Beluga collided at the 250 metre mark.  Planette and Barby Que collided at the 100 metre mark.  Just Curtis raced erratically throughout the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Renegade.

Renegade, Gold Rush Dozer, Kathy's Lady and Bernmar Terry were slow to begin.  Gold Rush Dozer and Kathy's Lady collided soon after the start.  Kathy's Lady and Bernmar Terry collided at the 200 metre mark.  Gold Rush Dozer checked off Renegade at the 150 metre mark checking both greyhounds and causing Kathy's Lady to stumble.  Bernmar Terry checked off Speed Alert at the 150 metre mark.  Gold Rush Dozer and Kathy's Lady collided several times at the 100 metre mark.

This event was delayed by approximately 7 minutes due to the lure driver failing to initiate the lure in an appropriate timeframe; after the starter activated the green light to start this event. Stewards subsequently spoke to lure driver Mr. M. Stevens regarding the incident. Mr. Stevens stated that he momentarily lacked concentration in initiating the start of this event. Stewards reminded Mr. Stevens of his responsibilities to ensure that he is fully prepared in future. Stewards have referred the matter onto the relevant GRV Manager. 

Miss Sim was a late scratching at 11:19am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Boston You Essay was slow to begin.  Surfside Squids and Jack's Alouette collided at the 150 metre mark.

This event was rescheduled to 1:03pm as a result of the delay from the previous event.

Inter Sam and Eagleeye Norris were slow to begin.  Inter Elesha crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Eagleeye Norris and Barcia's Fate collided several times soon after the start.  Inter Sam and Eagleeye Norris crossed to the outside at the 300 metre mark and raced wide through the remainder of the event.  Inter Sam and Barcia's Fate collided at the 250 metre mark checking Barcia's Fate.  Inter Sam, Ninetymile Lucky and Hooded Troyer collided at the 200 metre mark.

Maximum Strike and Freedom Fire collided soon after the start.  Sanz Marlow and Ribacola collided soon after the start.  Maximum Strike and Lady Of Ellie collided at the 300 metre mark.  Maximum Strike, Freedom Fire, Lady Of Ellie and Mayfair Miss collided at the 250 metre mark.  Celtic Charm, Freedom Fire and Mayfair Miss collided at the 150 metre mark.

Beer On Tap and Belisarius were slow to begin.  Dr. Dunstan and Arctic Blaze collided soon after the start.  Arctic Blaze and Battle Hook collided at the 200 metre mark and again at the 150 metre mark.

Ace Gone Wild and Kilty's Tiger were slow to begin.  Nat and Blue Westmead collided soon after the start.  Lido's Boy, Nat, Blue Westmead and Kilty's Tiger collided approaching the 300 metre mark.  Nat crossed to the outside at the 300 metre mark checking Kilty's Tiger and Blue Westmead.  Blue Westmead and Kilty's Tiger collided approaching the winning post.

A sample was taken from Fairy Vixen, the winner of the event.

Lebron Slam was a late scratching at 11:13am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. S. Collyer was fined the sum of $100.

King Of Diamonds was slow to begin.

King Of Diamonds was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its left stopper bone.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Another Hope was a late scratching at 11:08am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to swelling on the right hock.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Bless 'Em All, Tzar Knight and Dynamite Dozer collided soon after the start.  Tzar Knight and Mea Rose collided at the 250 metre mark.  Bless 'Em All checked off Star's Big Boy at the 250 metre mark.  Dynamite Dozer and Mea Rose collided approaching the 200 metre mark.  Turfman, Bless 'Em All, Dynamite Dozer and Tzar Knight collided approaching the 150 metre mark checking Turfman, Bless 'Em All and Dynamite Dozer.

Star's Big Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its right front foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Sonic Fantasy was a late scratching at 7:58am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Ego Yar and Kid Kadash collided at the 100 metre mark.  Advocate and Hugh Made Who collided at the 50 metre mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Next Grange.

Next Grange was slow to begin.  Dozer Lad and Lil' Feisty collided at the 250 metre mark.  Chicks Buzzard and Next Grange collided approaching the 200 metre mark.  Lil' Feisty and Go Go Danni collided at the 200 metre mark checking Lil' Feisty and Dozer Lad.  Dozer Lad checked off Go Go Danni at the 100 metre mark and collided with Lil' Feisty as a result.
