Steward's Report
This event was delayed by approximately 7 minutes due to the lure driver failing to initiate the lure in an appropriate timeframe; after the starter activated the green light to start this event. Stewards subsequently spoke to lure driver Mr. M. Stevens regarding the incident. Mr. Stevens stated that he momentarily lacked concentration in initiating the start of this event. Stewards reminded Mr. Stevens of his responsibilities to ensure that he is fully prepared in future. Stewards have referred the matter onto the relevant GRV Manager.
Miss Sim was a late scratching at 11:19am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Grand Hero.
Boston You Essay was slow to begin. Surfside Squids and Jack's Alouette collided at the 150 metre mark.
