Ace Gone Wild and Kilty's Tiger were slow to begin. Nat and Blue Westmead collided soon after the start. Lido's Boy, Nat, Blue Westmead and Kilty's Tiger collided approaching the 300 metre mark. Nat crossed to the outside at the 300 metre mark checking Kilty's Tiger and Blue Westmead. Blue Westmead and Kilty's Tiger collided approaching the winning post.
