Fabregal was quick to begin. Jacqui Blax and Extreme Magic were slow to begin. Extreme Magic and Aston Dee Bee collided soon after the start. Jacqui Blax was checked off Aqua Cheetah soon after the start. Aqua Cheetah was checked off McNeo on the first turn and collided with Extreme Magic causing Extreme Magic to fall severley checking Jacqui Blax which stumbled and subsequently tailed off. Aqua Cheetah and McNeo collided approaching the second turn. Aston Dee Bee and Don't Kid Me collided on the home turn.
Extreme Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left scapula, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
