Due to postponement of Grafton thoroughbreds this event was rescheduled to start at 3:09 pm.
It Is Done, Run Tom Run and Tat Barbie were slow to begin. Run Tom Run and It Is Done collided soon after the start, checking Run Tom Run. Doc Nam and Dry Argument collided approaching the first turn, checking Doc Nam. Doc Nam and Butkus collided on the first turn, checking Doc Nam. Doc Nam, It Is Done and Tat Barbie collided approaching the home turn. Doc Nam and It Is Done collided entering the home straight. It Is Done eased in the home straight and collided with Butkus.
Stewards spoke to Mrs G Buchanan, the trainer of the greyhound It Is Done, the greyhound sustained left foreleg shoulder muscle and right hindleg fibula injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged It Is Done with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Buchanan pleaded guilty to the charge, It Is Done was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
