Stewards spoke to Mrs G Buchanan, the trainer of the greyhound It Is Done, the greyhound sustained left foreleg shoulder muscle and right hindleg fibula injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged It Is Done with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs Buchanan pleaded guilty to the charge, It Is Done was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bombora Comet was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg spike wound, a three day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Bombora Comet with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Frusher pleaded not guilty to the charge, Bombora Comet was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr B.Jones, the trainer of Steely Sprite regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Steely Sprite last raced on 27th July, 2016. Mr Jones stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after a left chest muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Steely Sprite trialled over the 390m from box 3, weight 29.3, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.35, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 15.5 lengths. Steely Sprite was not cleared.
