Due to postponement of Penrith Harness the event was rescheduled to start at 6:35 pm.
A pre-race sample was taken from Barnie's Blaster.
Reality Thunder was quick to begin. Onya Elsa lost its muzzle soon after the start. Tricky Tezza and Dark Tantra collided approaching the first turn. Onya Elsa and Calen collided on the first turn. Tricky Tezza and Dark Tranta collided on the first turn, checking Dark Tantra. Onya Elsa and Tricky Tezza collided entering the home straight. Reality Thunder and Barnie's Blaster collided approaching the winning post.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr B.Jones, the trainer of Steely Sprite regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Steely Sprite last raced on 27th July, 2016. Mr Jones stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after a left chest muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Steely Sprite trialled over the 390m from box 3, weight 29.3, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.35, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 15.5 lengths. Steely Sprite was not cleared.
