Steward's Report
Baron Lad was a late scratching at 7:37am due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Craven, the trainer of Bryden Lady regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bryden Lady last raced on 23rd November 2016 and is returning to race after a spell.
Mr. G. Nicoll, trainer of Botanic Lass declared a new weight of 26.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Botanic Lass last raced at 28.1kgs.
Ninetymile Barry was slow to begin. Swift Spur and Bedlum collided soon after the start. Ninetymile Barry, Bryden Lady, Swift Spur and Bedlum collided at the 250 metre mark. Bedlum and Star Douglas collided at the 150 metre mark. Ninetymile Barry and Fiery Miss collided at the 50 metre mark.
Bedlum was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
