Steward's Report
Mr. G. Girvasi, representative of Oppi Bale declared a new weight of 29.5 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Oppi Bale last raced at 27.9 kg's.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Girvasi, the representative of Oppi Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Oppi Bale last raced on 16th of September, 2015. Mr. Girvasi stated that Oppi Bale is returning to racing after changing kennels.
A pre race sample was taken from Asa Rock Solid.
Challis Jack and Asa Rock Solid were slow to begin. Challis Jack and Arvo's Texan collided soon after the start. Quincey Mc Goo and Oppi Bale collided approaching the first turn. Challis Jack and Asa Rock Solid collided approaching the first turn. Oppi Bale and Quincey Mc Goo collided on the first turn, severely checking Quincey Mc Goo which lost considerable ground as a result. Rerod Magic and Asa Rock Solid collided on the home turn, checking Quincey Mc Goo. Rerod Magic and Ashtastic collided entering the home straight.
Following Race Nine a severe storm passed over the Warragul track. Subsequently, all races went back one, with Race Twelve resheduled for 3.53PM. At approximately 2.58PM, Stewards along with the Track Manager walked to the track to assess if it was safe to continue. Upon inspection, Stewards were satisfied the track was safe to race.
