Charlie's Lady, Winnellie, Bigshow Jethro, Remy Bale and Axel Boy collided soon after the start checking Axel Boy, Bigshow Jethro and Remy Bale. Charlie's Lady, Bigshow Jethro and Axel Boy collided approaching the first turn checking Bigshow Jethro, Axel Boy and Remy Bale. Charlie's Lady checked off Kinloch Creek approaching the first turn. Remy Bale checked off Bigshow Jethro approaching the home turn. Winnellie, Charlie's Lady and Axel Boy raced wide entering the home straight. Cee Jay Mac eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Taylor, the trainer of the greyhound Cee Jay Mac regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Cee Jay Mac was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Cee Jay Mac with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Taylor pleaded guilty to the charge. Cee Jay Mac was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
