Stewards spoke to Mr.R.Hodgson, the trainer of Crazy Dayz, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Crazy Dayz last raced on 14 September 2015 .Mr.Hodgson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennels after which time the greyhound became on season..
Stewards spoke to Mr.J.Higgins, the trainer of Le Grand Bleu regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Le Grand Bleu last raced on 16 September 2015.. Mr.Higgins stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after suffering a broken right front toe.
Mr. J.Higgins, trainer of Le Grand Bleu declared a new weight of 32.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Le Grand Bleu last raced at 31.6kg.
Act The Goat, I'm Mad and Crazy Dayz were slow to begin. Kev's Choice and Hannebery Thyme collided soon after the start. Hannebery Thyme checked off Senni William soon after the start. Act The Goat checked off Ima Lara Lass soon after the start. Crazy Dayz raced wide throughout the event. Ima Lara Lass, Kev's Choice, Hannebery Thyme and I'm Mad collided approaching the first turn checking Hannebery Thyme. Act The Goat raced wide in the home straight.
Act The Goat was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr B Hare regarding the direction that the greyhound I'm Mad be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
