Dr. Flannigan was slow to begin. Our First Lady, Diamond and Big Hook collided soon after the start. Our First Lady, Diamond and Big Hook collided on the first turn causing Diamond to fall checking Dr. Flannigan. Our First Lady and Big Hook collided on the second turn. Dr. Flannigan and Big Hook collided in the back straight and again approaching the winning post.
Diamond was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the front left metacarpus, a spike wound to the left hind metatarsus and a right hind nail bed abrasion, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
