Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Heat Policy the recorded temperature in the kennels at race 12 was 20.1 degrees celcius.
Fat Noel was slow to begin. Jax Mikado, Caesar's Comet, Cash Ownley and Old Zebb collided soon after the start checking Fat Noel. Jax Mikado and Caesar's Comet collided at the 300 metre mark. Caesar's Comet and Old Zebb collided at the 250 metre mark. Jax Mikado crossed to the outside at the 200 metre mark checking Caesar's Comet and Old Zebb; Old Zebb lost ground as a result.

Meeting Comments
Stewards altered the opening time of kennelling by 18 minutes due to the late arrival of Dr. Barbara Backhoy who was unaware that this meeting was deemed as heat affected. Stewards spoke to Dr. Backhoy regarding the matter and requested Ms. Cynthia O'Brien make direct contact with Dr. Backhoy in future where meetings are classified as heat affected.
Stewards altered the closing time of kennelling due to the late arrival of trainers - Mr. M. Fox and Mr. S. Hughes. Both Messrs. Fox and Hughes explained that there were traffic incidents on the freeway causing a delay in arriving at the track by the appointed time. It was noted that both Mr. Hughes and Mr. Fox had communicated with Stewards via telephone conversation as the delays had occurred. Stewards took no further action.
