Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Heat Policy the recorded temperature in the kennels at race 1 was 20.0 degrees celcius.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sammi Jay.
Inter Sam and Sienna's Gem were slow to begin. Sammi Jay crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Woodleigh Bond, Bushman's Bar and Rapanui Revival as a result. Sammi Jay, Dynamic Deano and Bushman's Bar collided approaching the 300 metre mark. Dynamic Deano and Rapanui Revival collided at the 300 metre mark. Dynamic Deano checked off the heels of Bushman's Bar at the 250 metre mark and lost ground as a result. Woodleigh Bond, Rapanui Revival and Belron Gaz collided at the 150 metre mark. Inter Sam and Sienna's Gem collided several times at the 50 metre mark.
Dynamic Deano was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
