Steward's Report
Up The Saints, Inner Sanctum, Border Raider and Teena's Socket were slow to begin. Smurf's Beattie and Landing Rights collided soon after the start checking Smurf's Beattie. Up The Saints and Inner Sanctum collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Up The Saints, Inner Sanctum and Teena's Socket collided approaching the first turn checking Inner Sanctum and Teena's Socket. Premier Series, Snow Zapper and Border Raider collided on the first turn checking Snow Zapper and Border Raider. Inner Sanctum and Teena's Socket collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds which stumbled and lost ground.
Up The Saints was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left thigh soreness, a 7 days stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Kransnaborodkin trainer of the greyhound Up The Saints and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the concluding stages of the event.
