Steward's Report
Salegreys Power was quick to begin. Call Me Scary was slow to begin. Blown Cash checked off Wee Bella soon after the start. New Tibur and Wee Bella collided on the first turn. Peke raced wide approaching the second turn. Call Me Scary and Kool Banske collided on the second turn. Blown Cash and Call Me Scary collided in the back straight checking Blown Cash.
Peke was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right triangle soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Darren Chapman owner of the greyhound Peke and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners on approaching the second turn.
Stewards spoke Mr. Tony Cortese trainer of the greyhound Call Me Scary regarding his failure to retrieve the greyhound from the kennels by the allocated time. Stewards charged Mr. Tony Cortese with a breach of GAR 46 and subsequently fined him the sum of $100.
