A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Eli Starlight a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Burnside Charlie, Roarsome, DestinI Doll and Uno Perry were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Eli Starlight and Gawker Bale collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn severely checking Eli Starlight. Burnside Charlie and Roarsome collided approaching the first turn. Gawker Bale, Bolly Bale and Silky Sock collided on the first turn, checking Silky Sock and severely checking Bolly Bale. Destini Doll and Uno Perry collided on the first turn checking Destini Doll. Eli Starlight contacted the running rail on the first turn. Burnside Charlie checked of Silky Sock approaching the home turn. Burnside Charlie and Silky Sock collided on the home turn. Uno Perry checked off Bolly Bale entering the home straight. Bolly Bale raced wide in the home straight.
Eli Starlight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
