Rhyan's Return was quick to begin.  Lakeview Maisey, Simbarea and Fine Edge were slow to begin.  Gordyn Abbs and Zippy Lynet collided soon after the start checking Zippy Lynet.  Lakeview Maisey and Simbarea collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Miss Asrai checked off Rusta on the first turn and fell as a result severely checking Simbarea and causing Lakeview Maisey to fall.  Gordyn Abbs clipped the heels of Rhyan's Return on the first turn.  Gordyn Abbs and Rusta collided on the first turn severely checking Gordyn Abbs.  Rusta and Fine Edge collided approaching the home turn checking Fine Edge.  Zippy Lynet and Rhyan's Return collided several times approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Lakeview Maisey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed

Miss Asrai was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Cosmic Fox crossed out approaching the home turn.  Wadelock Mindy checked off Cosmic Fox on the home turn and raced wide.  Mars Rising and Cosmic Chieftain collided on the home turn checking Cosmic Chieftain. Sparky Neveelk raced wide on the home turn.  Clyde's Classy veered out and marred Cosmic Chieftain in the home straight checking Cosmic Chieftain.  Clyde's Classy and Cosmic Chieftain collided approaching the winning post.

Clyde's Classy was vetted following the event.   It was reported that the greyhound was found to have neck soreness and soreness in the right hind, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs D. Johnston, the trainer of the greyhound Clyde's Classy regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Clyde's Classy with marring. Mrs. Johnston pleaded guilty to the charge, Clyde's Classy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blue Alcatraz was vetted and after being re vetted following event 9, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Veterinary Surgeon Dr. M. Redenbach recommended that the greyhound be presented to a Veterinary Surgeon in the next 3 days to ascertain to what appeared to be a serious injury.

Fairy Pretty was quick to begin.  Cheetah Stealth and Wadelock Juliet were slow to begin.  Moneypenny was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Tub's Tiger was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Tub's Tiger and Moneypenny collided entering the back straight checking Tub's Tiger.  Tub's Tiger and Beyond Manapa collided approaching the home turn checking Beyond Manapa which faltered and subsequently tailed off.  Cheetah Stealth and Lonesome Katie collided on the home turn.

Beyond Manapa was vetted and after being re vetted following event 8, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Cyclone Jebrynah was vetted and after being re vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound showed visual signs of cramp.  No stand down period was imposed.
