Steward's Report
A pre race sample was unable to be obtained from Duff Bale. A post race sample was subsequently taken.
Lisburn Gem was slow to begin. Diegonator crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Duff Bale, causing Lisburn Gem to gallop on the heels of Diegonator as a result. Dromore's Opal, Duff Bale and Lisburn Gem collided approaching the first turn, causing Dromore's Opal to fall. Diegonator raced wide on the first turn. From The Dark checked off Mighty Bree approaching the second turn. Duff Bale and Lisburn Gem collided approaching the second turn. Shakey Jet checked off Mighty Bree on the second turn, causing Shakey Jet and From The Dark to collide. From The Dark checked off Diegonator on the third turn.
Dromore's Opal was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right deltoid and right triangle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Shakey Jet was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injuy found.
Stewards issued a warning to G Arvanitis, the trainer of Shakey Jet regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the second turn.
