Steward's Report
Kinloch Creek was quick to begin. Gunmetal Warrior, Bekim Echo, Shachar Magic and Ginto Zac collided soon after the start checking Ginto Zac and severely checking Bekim Echo and Shachar Magic. Dutch Schultz eased on the first turn and crossed to the outside checking Kinloch Creek and Minnie Jay; Dutch Schultz, Kinloch Creek and Minnie Jay raced wide as a result. Minnie Jay raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Gunmetal Warrior checked off Hot Pedro entering the home straight. Hot Pedro tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Jarvis, the trainer of Dutch Schultz regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Dutch Schultz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposesd. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dutch Schultz with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Jarvis pleaded guilty to the charge. Dutch Schultz was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
